2. Information covered
This notice covers website enquiries, account and subscription information, support communications and technical service records. Firm workspaces may also contain client details, matter records, documents, messages, invoices and expenses uploaded or entered by authorised users.
3. Why information is processed
Information is used to provide and administer the service, respond to enquiries, operate accounts and subscriptions, send service communications, troubleshoot problems and protect the service. Information required by law may also be retained or disclosed.
4. Your firm’s information
A subscribing firm determines the purposes for which it enters client and matter information. It is responsible for having an appropriate basis to collect, upload and share it. Requests about a firm’s client records should normally be directed to that firm. Contact us if you need help identifying the appropriate route.
5. Providers and external processing
Hosting, email, payment and AI providers may process information necessary for their functions. When external AI is used, requests can include instructions, source text and follow-up context. Ask us for current provider and hosting details before submitting data subject to particular restrictions.
6. Cookies and technical records
The public marketing pages do not include third-party advertising or analytics scripts in this release. Application areas use cookies or similar mechanisms for authentication, session management and security. Servers may record technical request information such as timestamps, addresses and errors.
7. Demo enquiries
The demo form prepares a message in your email application. Its fields are not submitted by the marketing page to our server. Once you send the message, we receive and handle it as an enquiry. Email delivery also involves your email provider and ours.
8. Retention and deletion
Retention depends on the type of record, service needs, firm instructions and applicable obligations. Contact us to agree export, account-closure and deletion arrangements before ending a subscription. Deletion may not immediately remove records from backups or records retained for lawful purposes.
9. Access and privacy requests
Contact info@plexlegal.com to request access, correction or deletion, raise an objection or ask about other rights applicable to your information. We may need to verify your identity and the authority of a firm representative. Applicable law and the firm’s responsibilities may affect how a request is handled.
10. Security and international processing
Access controls and operational safeguards support protection of information, but no service can promise absolute security. Service providers may process information outside your country. Discuss any data-location or cross-border requirements with us before onboarding.
