1. The service and provider
PlexLegal is provided by Lexplex Group Limited. These terms describe use of the website and practice-management service alongside any subscription order or written agreement accepted by your firm.
2. Authority and accounts
You must have authority to create a workspace and act for the subscribing firm. Provide accurate information, protect account credentials and ensure each user’s access is appropriate. Tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access.
3. Subscriptions and charges
The selected plan, user count, billing period and applicable charges are shown in the subscription process or agreed quotation. AI usage may be limited. Confirm taxes, payment arrangements and any additional charges before ordering. Features depend on the plan and supported configuration.
4. Firm content and professional responsibilities
Your firm retains its rights in content it supplies. You authorise processing necessary to operate the requested service and features. Your firm is responsible for lawful collection and sharing, accurate records, professional obligations, client instructions and review of work produced using the service.
5. AI assistance
AI output may be incomplete or incorrect, including legal interpretations and citations. It is assistance rather than professional advice and must be independently reviewed. Requests may be processed by an external AI provider. Do not submit information your firm is not authorised to process in that way.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the service unlawfully, upload malicious content, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with another firm’s information or disrupt the service. Do not share client portal access links with unintended recipients.
7. Client sharing and third-party services
Your firm is responsible for selecting the correct recipient and scope of access. Expiry or withdrawal cannot recall a downloaded copy. Email, payment and AI functions depend on third-party services and their availability.
8. Availability and changes
Maintenance, updates and incidents may interrupt access. Features may evolve. No specific uptime, recovery time or support-response guarantee is created by this page; any such commitment must be agreed in writing.
9. Cancellation, suspension and account closure
Contact info@plexlegal.com to arrange cancellation and confirm its effective date, outstanding charges and available export options. Refund terms depend on your accepted order and applicable law. Access may be restricted where necessary to address non-payment, misuse or a security incident. Agree data export and retention arrangements before closure.
10. Product ownership
PlexLegal software, branding and website materials remain the property of their respective owners. A subscription permits authorised use of the service; it does not transfer ownership of the software.
11. Applicable rights and disputes
Nothing here excludes rights or obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded. Contact us first to seek resolution of a service concern. Any specific liability allocation, governing-law or dispute-resolution terms should be recorded in the agreement accepted by your firm.
12. Contact and version
These terms are dated 1 October 2026. Contact Lexplex Group Limited at info@plexlegal.com, +254 792 009 522, or Cove Court, Watermark Business Park, Karen, Nairobi, Kenya.
